Throwback Thursday to some nicer weather and another rescue job from RKC.
The Brief: Having purchased a new luxury property our clients found that their new driveway was not only flooding but the water was not draining away leaving wide pools of water and muddy areas on the main access to the house.
Our job was to investigate the issue and put measures in place to rectify with the highest level of quality workmanship. Effectively and efficiently providing the customers with total peace of mind that their journey with RKC would give them a value for money service and a finish to be proud of.
The Work: Our investigations revealed that the property builders had left the old tarmac driveway under the top surface of the new one, as well as burying excavation rubble and waste, without putting in drainage systems. This extended to the surrounding lawn area which was not growing and further flooding issues leaving a messy aftermath, not in keeping with the beautiful home. To rectify the customers issues RKC’s team of qualified and skilled groundworkers undertook:
- The removal of the existing surface including the disposal on 100 tonnes of waste from site.
- The Installation of a new driveway with new drainage systems including French and ACO drains.
- The removal of the surrounding grass areas and replacement with 80 tonnes of topsoil, re-turfing, and a new driveway block edging to create a high-quality finish exceeding the customer’s expectations.
Our clients were keen that the job should be done as swiftly as possible to minimise disruption, so we were able to step up our manpower to ensure the job was completed within 1 week.
